KUNMIE HONORS BROTHERHOOD IN NEW SINGLE

Kunmie—born Oluwabukunmi Ariyibi Peter emerged in Q1 of 2025 as a fresh voice in the
Nigerian music scene, known for songs that feel like conversations and stories you remember
long after they end.

With an EP already to his name, he returns with “My Brother,” a song that speaks to the kind
of friendship that holds you up when the road gets rough.
“My Brother” opens with a quiet admission: “Truly, life has been more than a movie.” From
there, Kunmie shares moments of doubt, hustle, and resolve, all while honouring the friend who
never left his side.

The hook, “No corner me oh my brother, 50-50 we go share am” is a promise and a
principle: real success isn’t hoarded, it’s split evenly with those who stood by you.
The hook samples Brymo’s “Ara,” using the line “Ara n be ti mo fe da” to echo an inner fire,
the kind that keeps you moving when everything says stop. Later, the mood lifts with a simple
truth: “No matter the struggle, we live, we love, we laugh.”

The production carries smooth percussion, warm basslines, and vocals that feel close and
honest.

“My Brother” is a song for anyone who’s had someone in their corner from the beginning and
never forgot to say thanks.
