ZLATAN CHANNELS GRIT, FAITH, AND GLORY IN NEW ALBUM ‘SYMBOL OF HOPE’

ZLATAN, Nigeria’s street-hop trailblazer and creative mogul, returns with his third studio album
Symbol of Hope via Zanku Records / ONErpm.

Fresh off the success of “Get Better” (featuring Fola), a 2025 Afrobeats standout that reached
the Billboard US Afrobeats Top 10, spent 8 weeks in the UK Afrobeats Top 20, and peaked 2 on Nigeria’s Official Top 100. Zlatan delivers a powerful sonic memoir rooted in resilience, faith, and triumph.
The album unfurls as a memoir for the progressive thinker, lush with candour, hope, and faith,
tucked neatly within his world of melodic street hop. “I made it out of the hood, and that
means anyone can make it out too”, he notes, reflecting on his inspiration for the album.

‘Payday’ opens the album in victory mode. On ‘Demons’ with afropop star Qing Madi, Zlatan
strips back the gloss to confront mental pressure, self-doubt, and the burden of responsibility.
‘Hip Hop Messiah’ reunites him with Davido for a bold anthem from two of afrobeats’ leading
voices. Zlatan and Mayorkun bring grit and urgency to the street-pop fusion ‘Paypal,’ while
‘Diamond’ sees Zlatan embrace his Loverboy side, paying homage to Lagbaja’s 2005 classic
‘Never Far Away.’

Symbol of Hope hits second gear with ‘Odeshi,’ a toast to the soft life and a prayer for divine
protection. It flows into the praise-filled ‘Till Thy Kingdom Come,’ then celebrates
perseverance and joy with ‘Get Better’ featuring Fola and ‘Happy Day,’ balancing grit with
gratitude. The album closes with ‘Alpha & Omega’ featuring Bhadboi OML, as Zlatan recalls
his early struggles in Ketu, selling his only phone to chase his dream and his rise as a true
symbol of hope.

Zlatan turns his journey into a soundtrack of motivation and perseverance on Symbol of Hope, a
dancefloor therapy built to uplift and inspire. Brimming with bold energy, he channels every side
of himself: motivator, hitmaker, street preacher, and cultural voice.
Produced by longtime collaborator Chechdaproducer, the album’s sound is both cathartic and
joyful, sparking reflection while keeping spirits high. For loyal fans, it’s the evolved Zanku DNA;
for newcomers, a front-row view of Lagos street culture. At its core, Symbol of Hope teaches
that resilience can be learned, hope spreads easily, and courage pays, a pulse Zlatan carries as
he urges everyone to trust the grind and keep moving forward.
