Nigerian multi-talented artist WADEMIX, known for his skill as a guitarist, producer, and
songwriter, follows up his debut EP with a new two-pack titled ‘The Boys Made Me Do This
(TBMMDT)’.
The release features the tracks ‘Days. Ema Onigah’ and ‘Take 5 ft. Boyliam’, showcasing his
fusion of Afro R&B and soul.
The first track, ‘Days,’ is a heartfelt monologue set to music. Ema Onigah’s vocals carry a
sincere ache, singing about absence and quiet hope. From its opening line, “I no hear from
you since all this days,” the song creates a world of emotional distance and the weight of
passing time, feeling like a real conversation with someone you miss.
In contrast, ‘Take 5’ is an Afro-soul track. It trades stress for seduction, focusing on creating a
moment of harmony. The lyrics, like “Give me one stout for body / Cos that’s all that we can
afford,” are quietly profound, finding magic and connection in simplicity rather than luxury.
Together, these two tracks offer an intimate look into WADEMIX’s nuanced musical world.
