PSYCHOYP PUSHES NIGERIAN TRAP INTO NEW TERRITORY WITH “WHO BORN THE MAGA”

His latest single, “Who Born The Maga,” finds him exploring new sonic territory while paying tribute to a familiar Nigerian classic. Built around a sample of Wande Coal’s 2009 hit “Who Born The Maga,” PsychoYP transforms a well-known Afrobeats record into an Afro-trap and reggaeton fusion. The song reimagines the original through hard-hitting production, combining dembow rhythms with trap-inspired drums and melodic rap flows. Alongside the production, PsychoYP delivers lyrics that reflect ambition, self-belief, and the realities of navigating success.
“Who Born The Maga” is about staying alert, protecting your ambition, and refusing to be taken advantage of.
