MANNIE TSEAYO EMBRACES SELF-ACCEPTANCE ON “YEAH? YEAH!”
Manniee Tseayo is a fast-rising Nigerian singer, songwriter, rapper, and multidisciplinary creative who has established herself as Abuja’s Alté Powerhouse. Born Tseayo Emmanuella Nguavese, she blends Afrobeats, R&B, and rap into a sound she describes as “Alternative Pop,” while drawing from her Tiv heritage in Benue State to bring cultural elements into her contemporary music. Her new single “Yeah? Yeah!” opens with a chant that feels almost like a shrug, carrying the quiet confidence of someone who
knows who they are and is comfortable moving at their own pace.
In the song, Manniee Tseayo addresses the noise that comes with choosing your own path, singing “set your ways, what they always have to say,” as she refuses to let outside opinions determine where she isheaded.
