KiTé Begins a New Chapter With Soulful New Single Produced by Master Maison

Formerly known as MisterKay, Lagos-based singer-songwriter Adekite Alalade steps into a new era under the name KiTé — a personal artistic rebirth drawn from his Yoruba name, Adekite. The name change is not a rebrand; it signals a clearer, more intimate phase of expression for an artist who has long been rooted in Afrosoul, alternative R&B, and emotionally rich storytelling.

Known for his warm vocals, introspective writing, and work within Nigeria’s alternative music scene, KiTé has spent the last few years building a sound that feels both personal and communal. From his solo releases to his work as part of The Hause, he has consistently leaned into music that carries feeling, texture, and lived experience. Now, with this new release produced by his long-time collaborator Master Maison, KiTé introduces listeners to the next layer of his evolution.

This release also represents KiTé’s reintroduction to the public. Where MisterKay carried the foundation of his journey, KiTé represents a more intentional return to self: rooted in identity, heritage, vulnerability, and growth. The name reflects where he comes from, but the music points to where he is going.

With this new single, KiTé invites listeners into a softer, more honest world — one shaped by love, friendship, uncertainty, and the quiet hope that better days are still on the way.
