Prominent Egyptian rapper Abo El Anwar has officially released his brand-new single, “007.” The funk-infused hip-hop track showcases his signature wit, sharp delivery, and unconventional approach to production, ushering in the next chapter of his musical journey.
Opening with a distinctive voice note of a sharp-tongued woman yelling at her partner, “007” immediately sets an irreverent tone before Abo El Anwar counters with a playful, confident response. Beneath the track’s humor and bravado, the outro takes a personal turn, offering listeners a rare glimpse into the vulnerability behind his comedic lyricism.
As one of the standout voices defining Cairo’s hip-hop landscape, Abo El Anwar has built a dedicated global following through his versatile flow, genre-blending sound, and high-profile collaborations with major Egyptian rap figures including Marwan Pablo, Abyusif, and Lil Baba. Moving seamlessly across traditional hip-hop, funk, electronic beats, and native Egyptian musical elements, Abo continues to carve out a distinct lane in modern Arabic rap.
With a constantly growing international audience, Abo El Anwar remains a defining force in North Africa’s evolving hip-hop scene, consistently pushing boundaries while staying true to his unique artistic vision.
“007” follows Abo El Anwar’s acclaimed 2026 album Kalam Mkntsh Ha2olo, which explored a more experimental and introspective side of his artistry. His new release returns to a lively, self-assured energy while maintaining the lyrical authenticity and creative independence that have anchored his career.
