BELLA SHMURDA FINDS BALANCE ON NEW ALBUM “SANITY”
Since his 2019 breakout with the “Vision 2020” remix alongside Olamide, his music has drawn
strength from honesty. Over the years, he’s delivered one album, four EPs, and countless hits
that mirror the struggles and triumphs of everyday people who see themselves in his journey.
With his new album, Sanity, Bella steps into a new chapter, reflective, grounded, and creatively
evolved. No longer the hungry newcomer chasing success, Bella narrates from the perspective
of an artist who has achieved much yet understands the crown comes with its own weight.
“They say heavy is the head that wears the crown,” Bella notes. “Sanity is about balance. It’s
about holding on to yourself through chaos. It’s survival music for my people, and also a step
forward into where I’m going next.”
The 16-track album blends Fuji, Apala, Afropop, and street pop, creating a soundscape both
rooted in tradition and futuristic in ambition. Sanity features a cross-continental lineup including
Ckay, King Promise, Seyi Vibez, Fola, K1 De Ultimate, Musiliu Ishola, Joshua Baraka, Kunmie, and T.I Blaze, bridging Afropop heavyweights, street pop titans, and new-generation
voices.
In ‘Sanity’, Bella Shmurda uses his platform to share his story, a feel-good, yet human,
chronicle meant to uplift and inspire.
