Celebrating its fifth year, Apex Network, one of Nigeria’s leading financial technology and digital asset firms, has once again affirmed its dedication to the growth of the Nigerian Fintech landscape. Its fifth anniversary event in Lagos went beyond just celebration and took a step into further exploring the African Digital Economy. Welcoming some of the finest entrepreneurs and tech leaders from across the nation, the event was themed “The African Digital Economy: Building the Infrastructure for the Next Billion Users.”
It featured various speakers, including entrepreneurs and CEOs such as Adewale Yusuf, CEO and Co-Founder of AltSchool Africa; Joy Alabi-Hundeyin, Apex’s Head of People and Operations; and others. The event and its theme focused on driving inclusive growth with scalable systems and a policy framework globally.
Apex founder and CEO, Abraham Efemena, one of the many speakers, recounted that the company was committed to simplifying digital finances, not just for Nigerians, but for Africans at large. He continued by affirming that users can make steady income streams on the platform.

On the aspect of leveraging the power of Artificial Intelligence, he said AI is revolutionising digital platforms.
“AI is making complex information simple and granting more access to it,” he added.
He reassured users of their commitment to safety and protection on the platform by saying that the Securities and Exchange Commission is “working on crypto licensing.”

The CEO explained that Apex is operational across seven countries in Africa, serving millions of users, and is working towards assessing compliance requirements in other locations. However, he advised innovators on prioritising the establishment of local products before aiming for international levels.
Apex Engineering Manager, Mr. James John, applauded the role of tech in entertainment. Mr. John stated that Apex Network will develop a business suite for receiving payments through various channels, including crypto. He also acknowledged how AI has impacted creativity by reshaping it.
