Afrobeats didn’t just drop songs this year it dropped moments. From late-night car rides and house parties to timelines that wouldn’t shut up about “that one song,” the sound kept evolving, crossing borders and soundtracking our everyday lives.
So we did what felt right.
We tapped into our circle artists, producers, DJs, A&Rs, tastemakers, and friends deep in the music ecosystem and asked one simple question: What were your top 10 songs of the year? No charts. No industry politics. Just honest picks.
Using a point-based ranking system, we merged all those lists into one definitive breakdown the Top 50 Afrobeats Songs of the Year. Some entries were obvious. Some might spark debates. A few will probably make you say, “How is this not higher?”
But that’s the point.
This list isn’t about perfection it’s about impact, feeling, and the songs that really lived with us this year.
