WEUSI CREW REUNITE ON G NAKO’S “SAWA”

G Nako, born George Sixtus Mdemu, is a Tanzanian hip-hop artist, songwriter, and fashion designer
known for his role in shaping modern Bongo Flava. As a founding member of Weusi alongside Joh
Makini and Lord Eyes, he has built a career rooted in sharp lyricism and cultural influence.

On his new single “Sawa,” he reunites with members of the crew and close collaborators, bringing their
voices together on one track.

The song opens with a check-in, “We mambo vipi?” followed by a calm response that everything is fine.
G Nako sets the tone with ease, keeping it grounded and direct. Lord Eyes follows with verses drawn

from street life, focused on survival and staying true despite pressure. Nikki Mbishi steps in with a
confident delivery, leaning into his reputation for hard lyrics and daily discipline in his craft.

P Mawenge brings a steady presence, speaking on growth and focus, while Songa closes with a message
of forward movement and resilience. Together, they trade verses over a beat that keeps the energy steady,
letting each voice stand out while staying connected to the same idea. Speaking on the record, G Nako
says, “This is us reminding people that no matter what is going on, we are still here, still working, and
still standing strong.”

“Sawa” is now available on all streaming platforms
