ATTITUDE RAP CONFRONTS POVERTY AND PRESSUREIN NEW TRACK “MONEY MAKES YOU A MAN”

Attitude Rap, born Olalere Joshua David, grew up in Lagos with a mic in one hand and his
mother’s encouragement in the other. From an early age, he turned his experiences into verses,
crafting songs that speak plainly about life as it’s lived.

His new single, “Money Makes You A Man,” continues that unfiltered approach, blending
English, Yoruba, and street slang into a reflection on poverty, pressure, and the weight of
growing up too fast.

The track opens with a question that cuts deep: “If you’ve paid for my sins, then why do I
have to struggle?” A cry shaped by years of watching respect, safety, and even basic dignity
hinge on how much money you carry.

Attitude Rap lays bare the contradictions of a world where manhood is measured in naira, not
character. His delivery is steady, almost conversational, but every line carries the weight of
someone who’s had to prove his worth just to be seen.

Known as the “Young Preacher” after his 2024 project of the same name, Attitude Rap doesn’t
offer easy answers or false hope. Instead, he bears witness to his own journey and to the silent
battles of countless others.

“Money Makes You A Man” is about what it costs to survive in a system that rarely gives
second chances.
