Tega Boi DC, born Ochuko Marvellous Ikhire, is a fast-rising Nigerian street-pop and Afro-fusion artist whose journey from Benin City to Lagos has helped shape his sound and perspective. Through infectious melodies and relatable songwriting, he has gained viral momentum on TikTok and become part of the Plutomania circle. His music draws from the realities of pursuing success while navigating personal struggles, giving his songs a balance of streetwise confidence and emotional honesty. His new EP, “Sol,” brings these experiences together in a four-track project that explores pain, gratitude, the pressure to make money, and the determination to keep moving forward.

The EP opens with “Eyes and Soul,” a vulnerable account of confronting pain and searching for peace. Tega Boi DC sings about crying through his fears and calling on Jah to take his sorrow away, acknowledging that choosing peace has also meant saying goodbye to certain people and situations.

“Alhamdulillah” shifts the mood toward gratitude, giving thanks to God regardless of how life unfolds. With the declaration that he is balling now and the ambition to take his mother from Nigeria to Atlanta, Tega Boi DC connects his progress to the people he hopes to uplift, turning his success into something bigger than personal achievement.

On “Fra,” the focus returns to money and the realities of the hustle. Tega Boi DC makes his priorities clear, emphasizing the need to keep earning while knowing when to pause and rest. His observation that a good man without money can still be seen as a bad man reflects the pressure financial expectations place on people, especially those working to improve their circumstances.

Across “Sol,” he moves between vulnerability, faith, ambition, and the realities of survival, showing how pain and gratitude can exist side by side.
