LASKO TRANSITIONS TO NEW PHASE WITH NEW PROJECT “MAZZA”

Rising Nigerian independent artist LASKO officially release his highly anticipated 11-track project, MAZZA. More than a traditional mixtape, MAZZA serves as a sonic documentary and time capsule.

Recorded between 2022 and 2026, the project documents four transformative years in LASKO’s life, from being a university student in Ile-Ife chasing a dream to becoming an independent artist building a new chapter in Lagos. Rather than creating an entirely new body of work, MAZZA brings together defining records from different seasons, each capturing a real emotion, milestone or lesson.

The title comes from one of LASKO’s earliest aliases, “Mazza,” a name that represents confidence, resilience and identity. Every song reflects a different version of the same person: the student trying to pay rent, the young man learning to believe in himself, the artist celebrating small victories, and the dreamer determined to build a life through music.

Together, these eleven records tell one complete story—the evolution from Lasko Blark to LASKOszn.
